I suppose you could say that we have been together for almost five months, but he did not officially ask me to be his girlfriend until February fifth. We met each other at church, albeit a Korean one, where he is a youth leader. We have an age differences of nearly three years, and his position as a leader has continued to be an obstacle, but one that we have overcome. Not only that, but in a year he has to leave for his mandatory military service in Korea to serve for two years, and he wants me to go to his college(which I wanted to before he asked,) and wait for him to come back.
He wants me to visit him during his military service; to learn Korean in order to speak to his parents, which I am in the process of doing.
When he comes back, he wants to get engaged.
I know to some, that sounds silly and teenage-y, but for us it is a promise that we both plan to keep.
And above all else, we are beyond deeply in love with one another.
He is my first love, and will be my last love.
